XFX 9800GX2 for 549 @ newegg

Just a heads up...

I got an email from Newegg that the XFX 9800GX2 is currently $549.99 with free shipping. Their is also a contest to win a free one!

My guess is that XFX has something to do with the special price in order to compete with Evga and their 90-day trade up that many people buy into. I bought into it.

hahaha good GOD that was fast. I remember the 8800GTX was $50 over its MSRP even a month after its release. Here we have this card $50 below $600 after what? A few days?

Got the same email.

Glad I decided not to bite on the 9800GX2 when they first came out.

@ this rate it looks like Newegg will get in line with some of the other vendors and offer @ a decent price.
