Okay.. So I am looking at two different VGA cards and I just can't make up my mind. I'd like some help on how much of a difference there actually is between these two graphic cards!!

I have read reviews about the 9800 gtx just being a slightly upgraded version of the 8800 GTS 512. So perhaps I should go for the 8800 instead! But, I am confused because the VGA card is the ONE thing you just should not be cheap about. I know that.

I currently have a x1950 pro and I am building a completely new machine.
So I need to know this..

Here are the specifications for the two cards. Please tell me if the difference is big.

8800 GTS 512 MB GDDR3 RAM
650 MHZ, 1.94 GHz
Price: 340$

9800 GTX 512 MB GDDR3 SDRAM
760 MHZ, 2.3 GHZ, (Limited edition from XFX)
Price: 552$

The prices are Danish and will be higher than in other countries because private people have to pay an additional 25% tax on everything.

Is the additional amount of money worth it for this LIMITED EDITION CARD!?

Don't get that overpriced OCed card. OC it yourself, most people like to.
I just built a 9800GTX system and a QuadSLI system. The latter is mine as you can see. I am having horrible drivers issues. But I noticed the GTX does have some issues as well. The games run great, but for instance, I clicked on nvMonitor (I know nTune is taboo) and it BSODed. The same thing happen on my system. So they share some similarities with the drivers. I don't know how far it goes but you might want to steer away from that.

Yes, but can the GTS even be OCed that much? Also, you didn't answer my question about how muchof a difference there really is between this OCed 9800 and the non Oced 8800. I'd appreciate it. :)

Driver issues are usually solved. The cards are still new. I can live with a few problems if they paint graphics superbly.

Ofcourse you mean I should buy a 9800 GTX and overclock it myself! Alright...
But, what sort of performance improvements will I get if I overclock it to 760 MHZ?

I overclocked my brand new 8800GTS 512 last night, 750 core clock, 1050 (2100 effective on memory).

Scanned for artifacts for four hours last night, no errors. 70% fan speed isn't too loud (for my system) and stressing the crap out of the card never went above 70C.

Don't waste your money on the 9800GTX, it'll perform the same as the GTS. The only reason for the GTX is if you want *slightly* more OC headroom.

Exactly, don't throw your money on the 9800 GTX, it has a bad price/performance ratio. Get the GTS for 200 $ less and overclock it or not, the difference between them is small anyway.
