XFX 790i + ASM1061 SATA 3 CARD - BENCHMARK

I would like to post my personal experience with an XFX 790i board with a fresh installed ASM1061 pci sata 3 card and a fantastic Sandisk 240 Extreme SSD disk.
Because no one posted benchmark about this configuration, i am happy to share my experience with you 🙂
I am very satisfied because results was astonishing and i am very close to a native 6gbps integrated controller.
Hardware is:
XFX 790i P09
SANDISK 240GB EXTREME FW R201
ASM1061 CONTROLLER FW 0.95

Pci express lane was overclocked from 100 to 115mhz to enhance some bandwidth.

Thanks for sharing, those are impressive numbers and good to know, since I just upgraded to an nForce 790i motherboard myself.

Some people criticize that controller card since it only runs a single virtual channel but if you have a true PCI-E 2.0 x1 interface you can maximize it.

Your numbers are better than the numbers people are getting with the Crucial M4 64GB (Marvell controller) which goes to show the choice of drive also makes a huge difference.

Those numbers are better than what some people are reporting on the AMD SB850 native SATA III 6GBps interface.

The only bad thing is that you can't have any sli configuration because you must use pci-e slot 2 🙂
