I am pretty sure that the XFX GT will overclock and perform just as well as any other un-altered GT card, but I cannot find any info on the manufacturer warantee. On XFX's website, it says:

"Product warranty varies depending on Geographical region. For details warranty information for this product please contact the Pine branch in your area."

Pine is the company that owns XFX. I went to their website, and it was barren. No info on warrantees of graphics cards!

So does anyone know what the warrantee is? I live in CA. NewEgg has the XFX dual DVI GT with Doom3 for $413, which is the best deal out there, but i'm not willing to just buy it without any knowledge of warrantee. NewEgg allows you to add a 1 year extended warrantee for 30 bucks, but if i'm going to add 30 bucks, then i should just get a BFG with a lifetime warrantee.

Does anyone have experience with XFX warrantee's or customer service?

eVGA 6800 GT with Doom3 - $399

I had to RMA a 6800GT recently, and they were completely professional about it. Not happy that I had to RMA, but eVGA was easy to deal with and all their warrantee/registration info is on their website.

Yeah, I saw that too, but the eVGA Doom3 bundle is a few bucks more than the XFX Doom3 bundle.

Didn't see $399 for eVGA6800GT w/Doom3 on Monarch. That's an even better deal. But ... Monarch took 1 week to get my 3500+ to me and the processor was floating all around the box with about 15% of the pins bent. Took me over an hour of torture work to bend the pins back. I feel Monarch needs to be punished for doing this to me and I probably won't order from them at least until i'm no longer mad about their horrible horrible horrible screwup with my processor. I believe that was inexcusable. But anyway ... back to the videocard.

In my opinion, there's no greater pain than when your product has a problem that requires service or attention, and you realize that the manufacteror has poor or no service. I would much rather pay 30 or 40 dollars more, if the service and support will be significantly better. If eVGA is about the same as XFX, then I'll get the eVGA, but the XFX has dual DVI, which i might someday want, and it has a better refresh rate at maximum resolution, which may indicate that they used a better part in their board.

I already have FarCry, so i'm definitly going to go with a board that has Doom3. I feel like XFX deserves to NOT get my sale because their website is very very poor. They have NO information about warranties and they also have no documentation or information about thier cards. This is a warning sign that they don't want to be bothered and I don't like companies that don't like to be bothered.

Take any guy/girl who has a faulty product in their hand and i'm sure they'd gladly have paid a little extra to get a product backed firmly by a reputable compnay. XFX may be reputable, but their website sure doesn't show it.

I'm gonna see where BFG's and PNY's are being sold because they have lifetime warranties. Also, any info about XFX would be appreciated.

BTW, i just went to the PNY website, and they list a three-year warranty uppon submission of appropriate registration. I don't know where the whole lifetime thing came from. But three year is better than most others.

I think i am going to go with the BFG 6800GT OC. They have the best warrantee and tech support. I can't find the card available anywhere right now, but it's worth the wait, considering they their card has a lot of awards, and their website is infinitely better than XFX's because they actually have warrantee info and tech support, whereas XFX has absolutely nothing up right now. I'm even willing to forego the dual DVI because service and support are everything.
