XFX 6800GT or eVGA 6800GT

Hey everyone, I'm looking to get a 6800GT and I'm deciding between an eVGA or a XFX, I read in a topic that the XFX has bad customer support/service and thats why I'm kind of leading towards the eVGA (I don't overclock because of the fact that I don't know how, I just want a good card). I also heard a lot of good stuff about the eVGA especially the step-up program they have going on. The XFX is $368.00 free shipping/no tax, and the eVGA is 398.00 + $7 shipping/no tax.

My computer specs:
AMD 64 3200+
MSI K8N Neo2 Plantinum
500W PSU
6800GT
Kingston 1GB Dual Channel HyperX

eVGA, plus they have the step-up program. I used my 6800 GT for about 2 mos and its getting shipped out tonight...a week from now or so I will be installing my 6800 Ultra..only cost me $95 to upgrade. 🙂

I was skeptical off all the other brands I never used. Well I chose eVGA and I chose right. Their customer service is awesome. I called them today and instead of making me wait 45 mins on the phone a guy got on and said "hi, would it be ok if we called you back in 40 minutes. We are very busy" I said cool and left my info.

Approximately 40 mins later they called me back and answered all my questions, even hard technical ones.

eVGA, when newegg get's them back in stock they're $388 with Doom 3!

i'd wait for that if you dont need it now.

Or, go to your local BB and buy the BFG 6800gt oc for $400 or get it shipped to you for free!

I just bought an Evga off the forums. does anyone know if you can do the step up program 3rd party? BTW after seeing this I am happy with my purchase of the Evga 6800GT 🙂

What do u mean step it up 3rd party? If you mean if you're not the one who bought it but now own it i think u can if u have all the retail accesories (if not u have to pay some more), was bought within the last 3 months, and is not oc'ed.
