I've noticed ever since installing my PSU, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817207002, there's been a clicking noise coming from the PSU. I've disconnected or disabled all the fans and removed the HDD from the case so I could see if that was clicking and after doing so I've noticed it is indeed the PSU making noise. The clicking isn't constant, it comes and goes and I notice it both when the system's under load and while idle. This doesn't seem normal to me, is there a way to remedy this or will I have to return it?

Also, I have an OCZ ModXStream Pro 500w PSU sitting. Would that power my computer fine?

Yes, the OCZ ModXStream Pro 500w is more than enough for handeling your computer.
On the other hand, that kind of noises usually come from low quality PSUs and say us that the components inside the housing are not the best ones. However, the XFX 650W is a great unit, so it has no sense. In my opinion you have a defective unit, If I were you, I would RMA it.

I would rma it if its making a clicking noise. Its a great PSU and XFX had good customer service. I have one in the Girlfriends comp and its better in quality of components and ripple, voltage fluctuation under load is also better than the 850w corsair TX im running in my comp. no sense in not RMA'ing it.

Sounds like your fan is making a noise. This is what RMA's are for.

I sent in my PSU to XFX and they've determined it's faulty, although that's all I've gotten so far. Hopefully I get my replacement sometime soon. Do I get my PSU repaired, a new one, or just a refurbished replacement?
