I bought the XFX 5900 NU (ver. 1, with 2.2 ns memory). The card was DOA (vertical bars on the bios screen; would not post to windows -- apparently an indication of bad memory chips. I RMA'd it to XFX, but got a ver. 2.2 in return (2.8 memory), even though I specifically stated on the RMA form that I wanted a ver. 1 card back. No explanation, just a card in the box. Even if this one works, it's not the d@amn card I purchased. I will NEVER make a purchase from XFX again!

I bought a BFG Tech Asylum FX 5900 for $199 at Fry's with free Call of Duty :) :) 400/850 are the speeds on it.

Do you guys think buying one of these cards is a better deal than a 9800 pro? I have a gf4 4200 now. Thanks!

IMHO, yes I do, with current prices of the radeon 9800 pro cards looming at around $260 on up, the extra $60 aint worth the small performance lead it has in DX 9 based games.
