XFL- Opinions on the new football league?

I thought the league has a lot of improving to do, but I think it has potential.

Here's the official ESPN messageboard.

http://boards.espn.go.com/cgi/espn/request.dll?DIRECTORY&area=xfl

And here are a few ideas I have.

1. Remove the behind the QB cam. I felt like I was watching my playstation.

2. Do away with the cameras running out on the field after each play. I don't want to be in the huddle. It was an intriguing concept, but after seein' it I want it to go away. Quickly.

3. Stop the interviews of players during the game. Maybe this would be ok during official timeouts, but it takes away from the game.

4. The halftime locker room events have SUCKED. Stop them. I don't want to hear what a coach wants his players to execute during the second half. I'm sure the opposing team would like to know though?!?!?! Am I suppose to believe the other team doesn't have someone listening/watching this?

5. Cheerleaders are a mix between NBA and NFL cheerleaders. They dance more than NFL cheerleaders but they are prettier than NBA girls. Please keep them as cheerleaders. I don't care if they like/hate the opposing teams cheerleaders.

6. Get RID of the WWF commentators. They should NOT call football games. They just sound stupid and out of place. (How many times do I have to listen to them talk about the cheerleaders instead of the games).

7. Stay out of the coaches faces when they are trying to coach! How effective are you when someone is looking over your shoulder when you're trying to work? Cut that crap.
I'll think of others.

The point of all these comments seems to be to make the XFL more like the NFL. That's not the point. It's supposed to be cheesy and extreme. It's not supposed to be a sport, it's supposed to be entertainment. If you removed all the cameras and the behind the scenes crap then you'd remove the shock value, and if you removed the shock value you'd remove the viewer base.

What's the viewer base, you ask? I have two three letter acronyms for your enjoyment:

WWF
TNN

Just to let you know, the general consensus of the boards is that it sucks... I on the other hand, think that it could be really sweet... im not going into a long shpeel cuz im going to bed, but

i think that this feature is awesome, but only on running plays... when the qb hands off the ball, you can see the holes that the rb is going to be running for, and can see the play develop up feild... but if its a passing play, i agree, its horrible...

My first impressions is the XFL appears to be more of a television show than a football game.

I agree Rudee, it's very reminiscent of wrestling which I can't stand. I watched the first half of the game and that was all the xfl I'll be seeing for a while. By the way, if it's supposed to be "extreme football league", shouldn't it be the "EFL"?

First, I'd like you to show me WHERE it says that the XFL is suppose to be cheesy entertainment and NOT a sport?

Do you really think there are over 150 XFL players that are out there risking injury because they want to entertain people, or could it be because they want to play football?

I think it hurt NBC badly when they lost the NFL contract and this seems like a great opportunity to gain a sports viewership again. Saturday night at 8:00pm is a perfect time to have *real* football on.

I can guarantee that if the XFL is just another version of the WWF it will indeed fail.

Hmmm, why would someone watch the XFL if it wasn't like the WWF? Maybe because they love football? Do you think?

Did anyone watch the San Francisco/LA Extreme game? It was a decent football game. It was much better than the game that was on Saturday night.
