saw this on slickdeals today. I want to give it a shot, but im in the process of moving, and wont have cable until wednesday.

Im hoping its more than just the content thats available on the xfinity site, but im guessing thats all it is. I know uverse was offering a deal to use your 360 as a full out cable box, i dont see how comcast would be able to do that since its not IPTV.

Yeah, looks like it's only On demand, no live TV. Still, I hate Comcast's shitty cable boxes and UI, so maybe this will be an improvement.

I can't get the thing to let me log in. Every user name/password I try says it's not valid and I know one of them is the primary.

have you tried using xfinitytv.comcast.net yet? I think it makes you create an account with that first, and then you can use the xfinity site (and im guessing the app). I think its the same with HBO go. kinda dumb.

Also be sure to add @comcast.net to the username. I had the same problems logging in until I did that.

Doesn't look like Comcast is one of the providers listed for the xbox HBO Go app...which is lame since they work fine with the iOS app.

Yeah, it wasn't working for me last night so I went to the website (xfinity.com/xbox I think), where it auto-detected my address and informed me that I already had a username (which I already knew)...but it had @comcast.net appended at the end.

In the app setup there's a list of providers to select from. Comcast/Xfinity isn't one of them.

I guess I don't remember seeing if there was a selection for HBO's own accounts...but I don't think so.
