XFCE in Ubuntu?

Some googling shows that the package exists... but I can't find it. I'm running the "hoary" release.

I did "apt-get update", and then "apt-cache search xfce". It doesn't show anything. I'd rather not go behind the package manager's back and download&compile it myself.

Sadly there's no equivalent for packages.debian.org for Ubuntu yet. Did you enable universe and multiverse? That's where most of the Debian packages that the Ubuntu people didn't consider 'core' fell.

Update your sources.list to include the universe/multiverse repositories, then just apt-get install xfce4.
