Xeon W3520 vs. i7 920 D0

Some are saying the uncore/mem is locked on the Xeon while others say if your BIOS is D0 ready they should be unlocked. Anyone have any firm information? Both look like good overclockers.

Yep. Some companies *coughAsuscough* are seriously lacking in the LGA1366 BIOS department while some (Gigabyte) are ahead of the pack and have full support for the Xeon chips.

Gigabyte seems to be more on the ball than Asus with x58.

Its a shame though that Gigabyte's customer service is sh*t. It lets the company down.
