Xeon vs. Normal P4

Hola, quick question. I'm going to be doing some mid-level moddeling (mostly modding of some games using gMax and Photoshop) and was wondering this: If I was to purchase a single Xeon CPU at say, 2GHz, would that be better for what I'm doing than say a 2.53GHz P4? I would be purchasing a second Xeon later this year when I had more money so I could utilize the dual processor power to its fullest. What do you think?
