Looking for a few misc items, I found http://centrix-intl.com has some good prices on some of their miscellaneous stuff. (Also have good resellerratings)

$11.99 Celestica/VXI 8.3 Xeon VRM
(Best price I have ever seen anywhere)

$26.00 Intel D850GB P4 motherboard, Compaq OEM (eww Compaq)

$19.00 WDE9180-0049 9.1GB 7200 2MB 80-pin
$25.00 WDE9150-0040 9.1GB 10K 2MB 68-pin
$39.00 WDE9150-0050 9.1GB 10K 2MB 68-pin u/160

$0.99 Internal & External 50-pin SCSI cables.

$0.99 10-pack 2mm jumpers, like on SCSI drives and my Mac motherboard
(also have 2.54mm jumpers at same price, like found on IDE drives)

$1.99 IDE cable 80-wire Foxconn

$1.99 USB to parallel converter

$1.99+ USB cables

$0.50 Keyboard (Catch is: in Portugese)

$3.99 Black PS/2 Keyboard Gateway

$9.99 power connector adapter: ATX 20-pin -> ATX 20-pin + 6-pin, like found on Dells (not so hot price)

$3.49 ATX extension cable

I need to find some of those tiny jumpers for my mac motherboard's cpu settings...comes stock with a preconfigured jumper block. I've been debating whether I need anything else to justify the s&h on 0.99 jumpers. Too bad they don't have 80->68 pin LVD SCSI adapters

Bump for great products at great prices! I just got a Seagate 9.1GB 10k U160 SCA drive for $21. Really fine drive for grab-bag price. Don't go there if you can't resist a bargain!!!

Very nice price on the Cheetah. Those WD drives are refurbs by Nikimi. Found that out the hard way. They really ought to list that they are not new. I'd stick with the Cheetah 18XL.

I'm not good with SCSI, but which adapter will I need to run the Cheetach Ultra160 XL18 drive? I got some free (well, not really free since it's my money) tax refund change in my pocket that I can spend on a purty cool SCSI drive setup. :p

googlegear has a U160 LSI controller for ~$63 , there could be a better deal , but that is not bad

Both 80 and 160 can be run on the same controller. Remember only the fastest 15k SCSI drives have hit even 70MB/sec txfer rate. The U160 adapters work best in 64-bit PCI slots, but will also work in the common 32-bit slots. The QLogic adapter available on the Centrix site for ~$40. should work fine. Or you can get an LSI U160 on eBay for $45. starting bid. Get your LVD cable/terminator ($12. or so) and 80- to 68-pin LVD adapter(s) ($6.50 or so - the ones I got from- "yoozinha" on eBay -work very well) on eBay - I doubt you'll find better prices or much better quality on those items elsewhere. Better do some reading at: www.scsifaq.org -because you need to be sure you get the right stuff - or NO Worky!

Your mobo has on-board U160 SCSI. Why do you need another adapter? IAC, there are a couple of those LSI U160 adapters I mentioned in the message above available on eBay w/ starting bids of $45. as well as several Adaptecs etc. Just search on U160 or "Ultra 160". As far as I know all U160 adapters work in either 32- or 64-bit PCI slots. Or googlegear or hypermicro has it straight up for $65/69. See my earlier message for cables, adapters.
