xeon nehalem card with i7

Simple question. Does motherboard tyan 7016 (x2 Xeon 55xx) support core i7 CPU ?

no.

If the tyan 7016.. i cant seem to find its specs, is a gainestown board it will not work with a bloomfield CPU.

Bloomfield CPU's or normal i7's you call them are 1xQPI enabled.
The Gainestown CPU's or Neha-EP is 2xQPI.

If you dont overclock a Gainestown will work in a X58 without problems, thats IF you dont overclock.

A bloomfield will NOT work in a gainestown board because your missing that second QPI.

And yes i have both.
