Xeon E5540s listed as "unknown device" in Device Manager - WTF?

I just finished building a workstation with the following specs:

Motheboard: Supermicro X8DAi
CPUs: 2 x Xeon E5540s
RAM: 48GB Crucial ECC/Reg
Video: nVidia 9400 GT
RAID: Areca ARC-1680ix-12 (powering 4 Fujitsu SAS and 4 WD SATA)
OS: XP Pro 64-bit SP2 + updates as of this AM

My problem is that in Device Manager, I have 16 entries for unknown devices - each one saying that the driver for that device is not installed Looking up on the DETAILS tab for each, I get the following under Device Instance ID:

acpi\genuineintel_-_em64t_family_6_model_26

Looking under the Compatible IDs, I see this value:

ACPI\Processor

Obviously, this has to do with the twin E5540s and a quick tour around Google points to the intelppm.sys file. However, I cannot find any driver or software package from either Supermicro or Intel that will remedy this issue.

Does anyone know how I can properly get these CPUs registered and remove all of the "Unknown Device" listings from Device Manager?

Thanks in advance for your time!

NOTE: I am cross posting this in several other forums as I need to get this resolved quickly. Once I do, I will close the thread down...
