Xeon 1MB cache vs. 512KB?

In otherwords, matching the same FSB speed, does a motherboard care whether you have the 1MB of L2 cache vs. the 512KB? Or are there MB's that will complain if you try to put a 1MB version into it???

I think you'll be fine with either, though you should check motherboard documentation. I thought you were gonna ask about SMP in which case I asusme the answer would be 'not a chance'.
