Recently upgraded from a Pentium II 400mghz to Athlon 950 but playing my favorite game- Air Warrior my frame rate has decreased; actually I get better frame rate when software rendered. Wintune also shows poor performance in Open gl ~25% of the normal. Have tried diffrent drivers, playing with AGp aperture, trying manual instead of auto for driving option in bios, slowing the card down -in case voltage supplied is too low. Frame rates do improve with decreased resolution, turning off sounds etc but are still very slow.
- any ideas anyone has would be appreciated; Thank You

What size power supply are you using? To be safe, you need 300 Watts for that system? What motherboard are you using?

It's your video card that's holding your system back. Isn't the Xentor 32 like a TNT2, or TNT2 Ultra card? It can't even match the performance of the Geforce 256 SDR card.

It' a high clocked tnt2 ultra- normally gave good results; probably one step down from th Geforce
