I know I'm a bit late to the party here, but I own the first two games and thought I'd pick up the third... So I went to Amazon to pick up a copy and was taken back by the game being over $100. Why in the world is it worth so much? The first two aren't anywhere close to that expensive, which is understandable for the second one, but the first game was great. Did the game have a limited run?

Also, thoughts on the game compared to the first one?
 
I'm still near the end of II so I can't say how good III is.

A lot of JRPGs only get one pressing in the US, and once they sell out the prices start to climb.

You might find a deal on eBay but read the listing very carefully to see whether it's just a disc without case & manual, and that the disc isn't scratched up.
 
3 was the best of the trilogy, even with the rushed ending (was originally slated for 6 games). But, even so, I can't see it being worth $100.

But, I can't imagine ANY game being worth that much. Even after console games went up to 60.

I'd say keep an eye on ebay, or your local eb used game section. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find it for much cheaper than that with a little patience.
 
How many hours are the first two games. I have them but never played them. I picked them up from gamestop a few years ago for like 20 a piece and just recently found the bag with them in it 🙂
