Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii

Has anyone played this?

I remember looking at it a while back but at that time it wasn't released here in the states. From what I've read it's pretty hard to come by and I looked on Ebay and most of the copies are going for $65+.

Only Gamestop sells it. I own it, but given my lack of a Wii and since Dolphin is being finicky about using my 360 controller, I just got lazy about getting it to work.

Well you can send it my way and I'll put it to use lol.

Ive played it through to the end. IMO, its one of the better RPGs that has been release in the past few years. The story is a little weak, but the overall gameplay is fun. It doesnt try and get too complicated, which is a trap many modern RPGs fall into. I dont really want to spend hours figuring out and optimizing my characters and battle strategies. I like a fairly simple and straightforward battle system. This game can be complex if you want it to be, and you will need to leverage those systems if you want to complete the optional end game content, but if you dont want to beat the uber-hard super secret boss, its thouroughly enjoyable.

I just started playing this...and I'm not sure I like the "automated" battle system.

Last Story has a similar battle system...I'm wondering if this is something they went towards due to the Wiimote....

Either way..I don't really feel like i'm playing the game so much as just moving around to get to the next cut scene...

I didn't really get into it, but ability combos become important later in the game, especially for the powerful special bosses. So the 'easy' feeling combat does become a bit more complex in the later stages of the game. I agree tho, the combat does feel somewhat automated, and when you start getting more and more abilities, it can feel tedious furiously cycling through them as they come off of cooldown.
