ok right now im taking AST's (ast-ss.com) Dymetadrine Extreme. (EC-stack). Wanted to know what other people's opinions were of Xenadrine? Some say it works better, others say Dymetadrine Extreme works better. Any opinions?

Also...I usually take mine in the morning and before a session in the weightroom. I've been told NOT to take it before a run or cardio because you run the risk of heartattack. What do you think?

I think you should go with just diet and exercise and leave the pills alone.

I think asking something in a public forum leaves you open to public opinion, if you don't like that, I think you shouldn't ask question sin public.

i realize it leaves it open to public opinion, but i was hoping we could STAY ON TOPIC. That is really the point to all of this, isnt it? Why don't people post opinions on why they dont like my handle? That's "PUBLIC OPINION", too now, isnt it? But my point is that i'd like to stay on topic. So are there any opinions on the effectiveness of Xenadrine? Or the time at which it's taken?

I THINK DIET AND EXERCISE IS MORE EFFECTIVE THAN PILLS. THAT IS MY OPINION AND THAT IS WHAT YOU ASKED FOR.

Ok at the risk of starting a pissing contest, i should have been more clear with my first post. Apparently i was a bit ambiguous. I wanted to know WHICH WAS BETTER, DYMETADRINE EXTREME OR XENADRINE?

On another note, your comment about "i think diet and exercise is more effective than pills" is like me saying "i think eating a healthy diet is more effective than taking a daily vitamin." YES, i agree with you that it IS more effective, but look at the word SUPPLEMENT. It's a SUPPLEMENT. Which means it DOESNT replace dieting and exercise. It SUPPLEMENTS it. I've been lifting for about 5 years now. I KNOW that diet and exercise is more effective, but the whole point of these substances are to SUPPLEMENT your efforts in dieting and exercising. No one said you couldn't both diet/exercise AND supplement it, much like most people supplement their meals with vitamins.

Uh.. If someone from these forums said, "No, I don't think you run the risk of heart attack if you take it just before a run or cardio", would you do it? :Q

In that case, No.. Matter of fact, I think you should take two. :D

Ive used Xenadrine to keep me focused during lifting. I was only taking 1 pill 1/2 hour before lifting and I was losing weight with just that one pill. I have only tried Ripped fuel and Xenadrine so I don't know anything about the other ones you are asking about.
With the Ripped Fuel I didn't notice any weight loss, but I was not taking the recommended dosage.

edit: I tried taking the Xenadrine on an empty stomach before running and it made me dizzy and light headed. Im not sure how much of it you need to take before it gets dangerous. My lifting partner can chew 2-3 ripped fuel capsuls and be drinking coffee to wash it down and it does not bother him.

When it comes down to thermogenics, the only difference between different pills is the amount of ephedrine and caffeine. The proper dosage is 20mg ephedrine and 200mg caffeine. You could go to Xenadrine's site and compare I guess. I visited a site a little while ago, and the only difference between other ones were fillers added, and price. I believe Twinlab's Metabolift(but not the one without ephedrine) was the price king, and that's all you need probably.
I don't have personal experience, but I have done a lot of research lately as I was thinking of taking one myself, but my BP is high, so I have to get that down first.

Yea, that sounds like it is something good for the body. DUDE, IT IS JUST LIKE TAKING SPEED. Write this number down on your hand for later, 9-1-1.

But yet a lot of people use them safely, and it accelerates fat loss and boosts energy. If you don't fall into the warning groups(like I do), then they're generally safe. Obviously get off of them if it makes you feel bad.

A lot of people use Viagra safely and some die. A lot of people eat beef safely and some die of vCJD...

I think it is a question of personal risk evaluation - if you have little heart disease in your family, your heart can probably take a little more.

To the originial poster. I would NOT take this pill before workout, just not a good idea. Also, I hope you do a warmup and cooldown on a bike / treadmill before and after weight training. It's the best that way.
Take the pill a couple of hours after the workout, or don't take it at all (my personal fav.)
