XDR vs DDR ......anybody ?

XDR is supposely 6.4 GB/s per chip, how does this compare with DDR ?

Since PC3200 is 3.2 GB/s per dimm and I'm assuming the per chip rating is a lot less since XDR is getting a lot of hype.


PS: I assume an XDR Dimm would be greater then 6.4 GB/s ?

Do XDR Dimms exist? How long until XDR comes out, and how expensive is it going to be? I haven't heard much about it.

Seems that XDR does not run at 3.2 Ghz but rather 400mhz, it has x8 or x16 which will be 3.2 GB/s or 6.4 GB/s.
