You might be able to get some direct from Rambus for a few grand a stick, plus a few grand for a mobo that supports it.

Hmmm... tried to email RamBus twice, but no reply as yet...
Since I am staying in South Africa, I can'r really pick-up the phone and call them... so I I just hope that the emails reached the correct ppl... and is not sitting in the webmaster`z inbox, waiting for some sort of devine intervention before anything happens...

Any of you guys know some `on-the-ground` info?
I know that samsung has released the 184Pin DDR memory modules that`z made up of XDR chips...

I am more interested in the actual interface device that would allow one to use XDR memory on DDR or DDR2 motherboards.
Kensai, there should be no need for getting a new motherboard... that is the entire aim of these interface devices... The should also remove the need of needed extra low latency memory and CPU:MEM ratios on 1:1... In theory, one should be able to get extreme high speed memory at low timingz that really never would become `out-dated` in the near future...

It is my understanding that you plug in the DDR2 interface onto ones mobo, connect the XDR memory to that... it would run as the spped dicated by the bios/mobo... default 400MHz... with max speed of either 8 or 16GHz...

But it hard to find proper reviews and performace on this product... seems either as tho the DDR manufactors still want to smother this technology or RamBus is planning a suprise attack...

Dunno. I also care about what I can get easily. I'm fine with DDR and DDR2. Currently, if you can even overclock your proc enough to use PC2-6400 at it's maximum potential, kudos to you. Without sacrificing all your speed.
