XCOM Enemy Within - the Newfoundland mission (lots of chryssalids)

According to a wiki or two on the Internet this map allegedly is triggered on a random-ish timer, yet I've only encountered it very early on in a campaign. For example, this time around I've just equipped carapace armour all round as well as a couple of laser weapons, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's approximately when I've had this map every time I've played this game.

Has anyone here experienced this map being triggered at a much later stage in the campaign? What I would give to have it with an all-Colonel squad with Titan armour and plasma weaponry, maybe an alloy cannon or two

I know I've used Titan armor and plasma weapons for that mission. I also think I've gotten it more than once in a campaign, although I may have been playing with the Long War mod at that point.

But when you are wiping the spawns with reaction fire, it's not nearly as scary-fun.
