I have a E8500 Core Duo 2 CPU and a Nvidia 1050 TI GPU. I play several games like ARMA III and Stellaris on steam link and when the 'Display Performance Metrics' always says that the host computer is using NVENC hardware encoding. However, when I play XCOM Enemy Unknown(Long War), it first starts out using NVENC hardware encoding once the game loaded and then switches to lib264 software encoding and never switches back event though I get only 4-5 fps on 1920 * 1080p. Anyone else face similar problems where one game misbehaves?
