Okay, I thought the Tears for Fear cover made for the movie, Donnie Darko, was pretty depressing.

I guess there was more depression left. :(

Is this game as grim as the advertisement?

It's pretty fitting, would be more so with a better story though.

However, you don't notice the story sucks until you finish the game and realize, that it really was a great game minus the story (or lack thereof).

Meh, I found myself reflecting on Donnie Darko rather than giving a crap about the video. Maybe I just associate the song too strongly with the movie. But IMHO the video itself was also "meh"... and if it really was "directed" by David Fincher, my oppinion drops even more (I just expect more knowing that now).

No, it wasn't. It was directed by a guy named Joseph Kosinski. David Fincher lent a hand in it, but he didn't direct it.

Best. Song. Ever.

Best. Commercial. Ever.

Best Game Ever.

It really is so freaking awesome I crank the stereo everytime the commercial comes on. Then I replay it again and again and again. So good.

Download the HD version over Live and you can watch it as often as possible. That commercial is awesome. Pretty much anyone not playing this game is missing out.

Edit: I haven't had the chance to play it yet. :(

I just beat it last night on co-op on Insane mode. It's a fun challenge but Co-Op makes the game a lot easier than having AI as your teammates.

Anyone else play all the way through co-op as Dom and not get the achievement for completing all acts with him? I beat the entire game on insane mode playing as Dom, and didn't get it.

****** POSSIBLE SPOILER ************

I'm thinking it may have had to do with me not being the one who ran to the car at the end of Act 4 and my friend did that. I got the final hit on the very last guy as well so I dunno ...

agreed... kinda getting tired of this...

uhh.. pretty sure people are allowed to like music if they want to. certain music helps some people remember things they like very much, to me when I hear a song that I used to listen to a long time ago, I'll remember what I was normally doing during the times I used to listen (like hang around certain friends, do certain things, etc, etc)... that song, for one, personally reminds me the first time i watched donnie darko, which was an excellent movie, and the second time i watched it where that was a very very crazy night.
however, mostly? i just like the damned song, so get off my back!
;) j/k, but seriously, get off. :D

Great song, Artist and Album it comes from/on is crapptacularly awful.

which artist, which album?
this version is actually from Michael Andrews (with Gary Jules for vocals) made for the Donnie Darko soundtrack. It was more or less actually a score but had that song on it. i thought the score fit the movie well. balanced and kept the mood where it wanted you.

the original for Tears for Fears? never listened to the whole album, and the original song I almost don't even like because the music makes it too happy sounding for the given lyrics.

oh well he didn't record it on his own so i don't consider it an album song.. nor was it a recording for his album specifically album, at least as far as i am aware. it was done for a movie so that's what counts in my mind.

Honestly I don't think that it matters who drives, or who gets the last shot in. I could be wrong... but I just thought you had to be in a coop game when you "complete" the level. didn't really matter how.
I haven't beaten it as Dom yet, as I'm waiting for someone to coop with me that isn't a 13 year old and won't quit halfway through a level :)
