Xbox360 Wireless Headset

Modeps

Lifer
I've got headphones that I use for gaming on my 360 (the AX360's). The microphone that comes with them works, but doesnt really work well as the audio from everyone else seems like it needs to play back through the speakers, thus muddying the voices. What I've been doing is using the standard 360 communicator headset, wedged in between one of the ear cups of my headphones and my ear. It works but is fairly uncomfortable... so I was thinking maybe I could check out the wireless headset for a replacement and maybe more comfort.

How are the wireless headsets?

I've not used one myself, but my brother and a friend has one, and they have given less than stellar reviews. Problems range from others not being able to hear them that well to losing connectivity at times. I think the general consensus that I've heard is that it may be worth $30, but not $60.

I had one and took it back. I HATED it. My voice sounded very quiet no matter how loud I talked, and when people could hear me, there was a lot of background noise.

I'd much rather have better sound quality with wires.

Background noise was something that I always had complaints about....like there was some static coming from it all the time even if I was in a silent room...

I still have it, but I haven't charged/used it in months.

yep, every time I used it people were complaining and telling me to turn off my mic. it was really frustrating and not worth $60

Problem charging new halo 3 wireless headset 🙁

Still looks like junk.

Still better then the original.

Even if you can't turn it on because you can't recharge it?

😛 I'm just messing with you 🙂. I was mainly never interested in this thing because I've become too accustomed to being able to quickly mute with my thumb.....unless the wired headset comes with the same little dongle thing that plugs into the controller, then I'd might be interested.
