Xbox360 or PS3

i want the ps3...just because playstation kickass ass...but all my friends play halo, i want BOTH! money sucks

i'd buy an xbox 360. its graphics will be superior to that of the pc for a while and games will actually run at full detail. unlike the pc, where a number of different components need to be at a certain level to run a game at the super high settings.

also there are a nice number of great games coming out for the xbox that have already been announced.

i'm just curious to see how they made the already excellent xbox's graphics that much better. the microsoft team must have worked really hard with ATI designers

ultimately however i think pc gaming is better, but consoles are still a heck of a lot of fun. i've played some of the best games on consoles (nothing ever comes close to matching Zelda ocarina of time)

oh and make sure you know which version of the xbox 360 you want, there is a $100 price differential between the two

Well XBOX 360 has a better controller i think. But it depends if you really love sequel like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Devil May cry , Warhack , Killzone 2 , Vision Gran Turismo. Which non of the series been doing good lately. Metal Gear Solid 3 lost its touch, loved 1 and 2 but 3 wasn't what I expected. FF X-1 was not the best what Square Enix could have come up with but I am hopping FF X2 is awesome. Killzone 1 was a terrible game i can grantee you that the developer that are working on Killzone 2 could never achieve the kind of game that they shown in E3 2005 Sony Conference. Devil May Cry 3 was awesome at start but then it became boring mid through game. Grand Turismo would be cool but it all depends on PS3 online. If sony can really release the Online System they are talking about on the launch then GT would be one of the best reason to get PS3 if your racing game fan.

Now on XBOX 360 side you got allot new franchise , sequel and PC version. The cool things you will not see in PC version on games like DOOM 3 , HALF LIFE 2 , HALO 1 is the co-op. DOOM 3 on XBOX had an Online Co-po mode and i think Quake 4 on XBOX 360 will have a system link and Online Co-op too. But XBOX 360 will other awesome title like Prey , Dead or Alive 4, Rumble Roses XX , Project Gotham 3 , Quake 4 , Elder Scroll 4 , Ghost Recon Advance War fighter , Perfect Dark , War Devil , UT2007, True Fantasy Live Online, BF2 Modern Combat , Alan Wake , Blue Dragon , Burnout Revenge , Fable 2 , Gear of War , Kameo: Elements of Power , Lost Odyssey.

Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon are being developed by Final Fantasy 7 creator. Gear of War should be an awesome game since its using the Unreal engine 3.0 and getting developed by awesome Team that I came to respect ?Epic?. Komeo: Elements of Power another exclusive is going to be awesome : this screenshot tells it all http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/...oelementsofpower/screens.html?page=101. Fable 1 was short but if it was longer it would have been one of the best RPG of all time but Fable 2 would fix that problem. Perfect Dark looks like to be another surprise. When Halo was coming out everyone was saying it was going to be an average FPS game but that turned out to be wrong. I think Perfect dark has allot of potential

True Fantasy Online a title that got canceled on XBOX is back in development. http://www.gamespot.com/features/6132028/p-2.html check out what the game had to offer.

Now Some of these title will be on PS3 but i don't see the controller for the ps3 being any good for FPS or Racing. Also XBOX 360 will have free sliver account which is awesome since you could play online on weekend for free. Sony says they will match XBOX live but they said that with the PSP and i haven't seen anything close to what KK was talking about last year at Tokyo Game show 2004.

But the coolest feature on the ps3 would be the Blu-ray and able to Install Linux OS on your HD. XBOX coolest feature would be free XBOX live on weekend and able to play Video/Music/Image from Network and also Media Center Support.

I think I will be buying both since I want a blu-ray and I love playing online and XBOX 360 seem to offer more for online ability. But i am hopping PS3 would be priced $399 and offers a great online system

If HALO 3 is only released for XBOX 360 then I guess, I'll have to buy one. Only reason I bought an XBOX in the first place was for HALO.

I love how you left Nintendo out of the whole equation...tsk tsk tsk. The way I look at it, 75 % of the games that are even worth playing on the likes of the sony and microsoft consoles can be played on the computer. (Granted you have a kickass PC) Where you get the most for your money, is with nintendo. Quality hardware but not overpriced. Plus, first party and second party games can't be had anywhere else and are usually much more fun than finally being able to weight train in San Andreas.

This is hilarious, vapourware versus vapourware fud. Seriously if xbox is released on time, Sony will be under tremendous pressure to get something out the door as the game developers will go where the actual customers are.

I consider the next gen Nintendo console so far away, its not worth mentioning cause the only people who will wait for the next gen Nintendo console are die hard Nintendo fanboys.

I personally want the PS3 because watching HDTV movies is a very big priority for me. Therefore the blue-ray drive on the PS3 is the selling point for me.

Ps3 then Revolution!!!

Xbox with its propriety controller shwt and maybe even propriety hard drive kinda turns me offf. I was expecting MS to be more open than sony, but it looks like its the other way around 🙁 .

Amen !

PS add: I can't believe I just voted in one of these stupid poles.

With all the additions to hard drives, my worry is the fact of being able to download updates for the game. It's turning into a PC game where they rush the game and add patches to fix things up. 🙁
