well, waiting for it to be filled at dells warehouse. anyways, i'm thinking about what games i want to get for it.

here's what i'm thinking so far.

FOR SURE:
Halo 3
Battlefield: Bad Company
Star Wars: Force Unleashed

PROBABLY:
Fable (it's xbox original, but i dont have it yet)
Fable 2

LOOKS COOL:
Devil May Cry 4 (never played DMC game before, but dante always did look badass.)
DiRT (i want a good rally racer. if there's a better one than DiRT, i'm all ears.)
Mirror's Edge

I STRONGLY suggest you give The Force Unleashed a rent instead.

I played it, liked it, but did not LOVE it.

i've played other star wars stuff with similar levels of development and whatnot and liked them.

(jedi academy i seem to keep replaying..)

the main thing i like about force unleashed is the lightsaber stance. seriously.

Crackdown, Prototype?

Fable Lost Chapters on the PC is $20 or less, do you have a decent gaming PC?

See the Infinite Undiscovery thread if you want a JRPG, also consider Star Ocean, Lost Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia.

Crackdown was awesome. Fable 2 I hated. (Liked Fable 1). Force Unleashed is a lot of fun. Fallout 3 if you like RPG's. Prototype looks cool (when does that come out?). Personally, I'd rather have CoD 4 or CoD World at War over Halo 3.

Please rent The Force Unleashed first... I loved Jedi Academy too, played through it 3 times.

The Force Unleashed is only 6ish hours of game for most. That's why you should rent it first.

i want halo3 for the story. (i'm a story whore, i know it.)

i'll check out fallout3. it sounds interesting from what i've seen. but it's the newest, so probably gonna be the most expensive.

if you like stories... you should try mass effect. I just beat the game today... honestly, I don't know why I didn't play it sooner.

Wait to buy Fallout 3 -- the Game of the Year edition will be out later this year with the $50 worth of downloadable content included.

At least rent Gears of War I & II. Story blows Halo 3 out of the water. I felt extremely let down by Halo 3's campaign mode, it did have fun MP though.

Both Gears of War, Fable 2, Fallout 3, GTA IV. I also loved DMC4, really enjoyed SW:TFU (though it's a bit buggy and kinda short). And if you haven't played yet, get Dead Space - another awesome game (seriously, get it :)).

And you can later get the two DLC packs for Fable 2 (both of them very fun!), 3 DLCs for Fallout 3 (I don't know what's the complaining about, I really enjoyed those) and the huge DLC for GTA IV (still need to finish the main story though, so no idea).

I'm not much into racing games (though I do have DiRT and PGR4 and a racing wheel...) - if I could, I'd skip those games in general.

And since you finished ME on your PC, no point in getting the X360 version - plus the PC version's better anyway.

Ohh, and I didn't play Halo 3 :p

Crackdown was a blast. Probably the best cheap game I've picked up. I also enjoyed Need for Speed Most Wanted. KOTOR is an excellent Xbox original. Mass Effect I'd play on the PC - controls are WAY better.

like the other said, force unleashed can be beat on a rental.

Fable 2 is really good.
Wolverine was really fun too.
DMC 4 is a great adventure game.

BF:BC is mediocre. It was fun destroying everything at first, but then I just wanted to get the game over with. It's worth buying if you can find it pretty cheap or if you intend to do a lot of multi-player.

alright, just got back from best buy. (couldnt find too many deals for some of the games.)

anyways, here's what i got:

Halo 3
Battlefield Bad Company
Fable II
Devil May Cry 4
Fallout 3 (signed up for their rewards zone bs, but it got me half price on fallout 3 special edition lunchbox..so $30 for that.)

and...dead rising. just cause the concept is awesome.

alltogether, $195.
