Well they could have spent more or even much more.
There's going to be some very happy spoiled little rich kids this Christmas. 😉

Sweet. I just bought a Wild Cherry Pepsi this morning and got an orange cap. Let me play the giveaway and see if I'll be getting one of these.

Why would you have to spend $700? A friend of mine is getting it on release day and he pre-ordered it for $400.

Wonder how long it's going to take to mod/hack/crack the 360.

A month.

I will have one at the launch : XBOX 360 Premium Pack with Perfect dark , Kameo: Elements of power , PGR 3 and 1 extra wireless controller. I couldn?t be stuffed getting a wifi adaptor for $100 so I will just use my old wifi router as bridge or just buy a $20 Wifi router on ebay and save my self $80.

$350 + $45 + $45 + $45 + $30 = $515 + $60 shipping fee ;( "thank god for wholesaler"

I still remember paying 69.95 for Street Fighter 2, for the SNES. Toss in a second controller and the unit, I think that was about 300 bucks. Which for a single kids was outrageous back then. Though I played that thing into the ground. I can still remember my thumbs blistering up by day two... 😱

Nope. Didn't win. I had .05% chance of winning too. 🙁

That sucks dude... 🙁 You were so close!

i remember paying $69 for Super Street Fighter II for SNES.. or maybe that was SFII turbo.. hmm i think they were both expensive

Game prices have been the most stable out of anything in our economy. Games (NES) cost $50 when I was a kid in 1986. The SNES upped that with $60-$75 games...and you have your exceptions with the Neo Geo and their $200-$250 games but for the most part, they've always been around the magic number of $50.

I did! Havn't decided if I'm going to keep it or eBay it. Probably the latter.

I remember seeing Pilotwings for the SNES on sale for $90 at a local place, I think this was a few years after the system was released too... maybe it's a rare cart? I have one in perfect condition too.

Wow. I think the most I've paid for a game is $60, and that was HL2 silver. I can't stand to pay over $40 for a game. I wait to find one at that price, generally speaking, although come to think of it I probably did pay full price for Doom 3. In fact, when I think even harder about it (which I guess I should have done before I started typing) it's getting really darn hard to wait for a game to come down below $40.

Hell, Diablo II Battle Chest is *still* $40.

Pilot Wings for $90? wow, I can remember it was one of the first SNES releases but i don't think it's rare. If so, anyone wanna buy mine?

I can also remember pre-ordering Zelda II for $50, which was a hell of a lot for an 8 year old back then and even now. That game is worth about $1.25 now <sigh>.

i remember paying $74.99 for Golden Eye 007 for N64.

i played the living sh1t out of that game. well worth my money.
