My daughter came to visit me for Christmas and she had gotten a new Xbox360 bundle for Black Friday. She had been saving her game-saves on the "cloud" using her Xbox Live account.
I have an Xbox360 from August 2009 which does not have a hard drive. I was told by a guy at BestBuy that I could use a standard USB stick drive to save games on this Xbox360 rather than the Xbox flash memory cards if I hooked up to the internet and updated the operating system.
So this Christmas we hooked up the 2009 Xbox to the internet with an ethernet cable and after plugging in and configuring a 360 gigabyte USB external drive, it allowed us to run the OS update. So now we can save game-saves to stick drives rather than those Xbox memory cards.
My daughter wanted to pull down a game-save from the cloud after she logged into her Xbox live account, but it said there wasn't enough memory to use the cloud. What I don't get is we had configured a 19 gb memory slot on the external drive, so that seems like plenty of memory. Is it that the cloud will not let you use flash memory, even if you have a decent amount, or is it the Ram memory in the Xbox? What gives?
