Xbox360: Best games for Direct Link?

To start off with, I'm going to say Xbox Live is great and fun, but I'm wondering about a more local setup for multiplayer games that have CRAPPY multiplayer.

I'm thinking about getting a 2 Xbox setup because of racing games, for example. Split screen makes it difficult to race because you can't see everything as good. Maybe it would be better on a larger screen.... What are some other games that would work better with direct link?

We used to play at a friends house with direct link setup. I noticed most of them only allow 1 person per xbox for directlink exept for a few exceptions. Halo3 allowed 4 per box and COD3 allowed 4 per box, haven't tried COD4 with it yet, gears of war only allows 2 per box. Normally they all work pretty well like this with minimal lag. With the regular xbox we have tried this as well, Halo1 and 2 are great 4 people per box but once you start lobbing grenades wow it gets very laggy. Those are mostly the only ones that we tried setup through directlink and yes it's much smoother than playing online.

Thanks. I was just wanting to direct-link for 1 on 1 play to avoid split screens.

I tried playing Halo 2 on the Xbox in multiplayer and had trouble seeing where I was... I guess it might just be my screen, but I don't like cutting the screen size like that and figured this would be a way to set it up...it's just a matter of getting 2 nice TVs for my living room. 😀
