xbox wont read disk

hey guys my roomates xbox 360 will not read any disk that we put it in it...microsoft said they wont replace it because its not a red light problem..any ideas how i can make this thing red light or how to fix the problem..thanks

Just call MS and lie if you are in that big of a need to get a replacement. They don't ask many questions. Although the only way that making your Xbox RROD will benefit you is if they send you a refurb and don't fix your current box.

Yes, Microsoft will fix a bad DVD drive. There is a 1 year warranty. If it's older than that, you have to pay $100. Not sure why you're trying to break your 360, because fixing the RRoD doesn't involve replacing the DVD drive.
