Xbox Wireless controller to PC?

Instead of a wired Xbox 360 controller, can you use a wireless one with a plug and play charger into your pc? I'm fairly sure you can't but just want to double check.😕

I know you can use a wireless one with the wireless USB receiver. But I think you're talking about something else, so I'm confused.

watch out, if you put your PC to sleep and wake frequently, your controller will have flashing light problem and will only be remedied by a restart. just get wired and you won't have this issue.

You can't use the charger. The controller is still technically wireless even when charging via the USB charger because it only uses the USB cable to get power and not to send any data.

This is what you have to get: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16826105081

MS part# JR9-00001

You have to buy the receiver bundled with the controller because they don't sell the receiver by itself anymore.

Exactly right. That is a pretty decent price for the controller with the dongle too.

I will trade you a wireless with battery pack and wirless receiver for pc. For a wired 360 controller. Taking 2 usb ports for one device, is annoying.
