i wanted to buy an xbox, but dont have $200, plus the extra $ for games.

instead i want to hook up my comp (duron 650, 312mb) to my 32in tv via svideo and just get 2 cheap usb controllers. the games (madden, fifa, gta) will be free (thanks to those who actually share on kazaa).

should i get the cheapest tv out card? has anyone else tried this?

thanks.

here's the deal: http://store.yahoo.com/mamicro/syatira7064w.html
i know this place looks shady, so my backup is a newegg, but there it's $35 for a 32mb and out-of-stock

If you want to play old games a 7000 will be fine, but anything recent will crawl with that system. I believe a Radeon 7000 is about on par with a GeForce 1.
If you want to play a game you should really buy it (and not brag how you are going to steal it!).

BTW. Welcome to ATF!

Get a Gamecube. $150 for the system, plus one free game included.

And piracy is bad...It's because of pirates that games are so expensive in the first place.

Yeah man, if you're going to steal games, that's your business. Just don't come around here bragging about it. The fact that you have a computer and money to get controllers shows that you have a few bucks to buy some games. BTW, computer games are not meant to be viewed on a TV. The resolution blows. Yes, it can be done, but TV gaming is best left to consoles, where the games are made to run at low res.
