its a less than $10 remote. don't forget the $20 that has to be paid to sony and etc for all dvd players.

as for the gamecube, you can't compare prices that way anyway, since microsoft is taking a big loss on each console, and nintendo is making money on each console. it might be a $200 dollar gap in reality. that would cover a 10 gig hard drive, modem, and nic. the nintendo already has dvd player hardware, just no option to pay the $20 license fee.
 
What rock do most of you live under not to know about the DVD option on the XBox, and it's cost?

It's 30 bucks, you get a full featured remote, no using a game controller, which does nto even have all the functions of a real remote anyway.

On the GC... don't hold your breath awaiting on-line play... earliest Nintendo has even hinted at is.. 3rd Q 2002.
