Xbox question.....

I'm thinking about getting an Xbox and I was wondering if anyone knows if you can plug it into your monitor, is this possible? Or am I just being retarded and is this common sense? I don't have a TV in my room, just my 18" LCD monitor. I have no idea. If it does, I'll go buy one tommorow!

I think you need to buy a VGA Box to play with your monitor unless your monitor has some kind of composite input.

I have twin Dell 18.1" LCD's and have connected my Xbox through a TV card. I have no issues as of yet. Imagine, playing XBox and reading the walkthrough on the other monitor😛

The other option that would be a bit less expensive but wouldn't have the same picture quality would be to get a TV tuner card. Just hook up the Xbox to the S-Video input on it and you should be good to go. I did that before I got my Samsung 27" TV (thus bigger than my monitor) and I got a pretty darn good quality picture out of it. I would think that the VGA boxes would have a better quality picture but this would be less expensive if money is a concern at all.
