A piracy bust in Canada? WTF?
A search warrant was executed at the home, during which the following was seized: five computers; equipment related to the manufacturing, testing and distribution of counterfeit Xbox games; two modified Xbox systems used to play the counterfeit games; three CD carrying cases containing more than 500 counterfeited games; more than 2,400 blank DVDs; and Internet orders for games.

I hate when they say it cost the game industry so much money. They always say piracy costs the industry billions of dollars each year, but would each person who pirates a game have actually bought it if piracy wasn't available?

Why don't they take a walk around Chinese... err... Pacific Mall. I dont think anything they sell is legal.
Of course it makes sense. If I download a music CD, it doesn't mean I would've actually bought it had it not been available for download. Maybe I downloaded it out of convenience and wouldn't have cared about it otherwise.Originally posted by: Chraticn

For some reason, that doesn't make any damn sense.

Quite frequent actually. About a year and a half ago, there was a string of bust (on behalf of MS) of tech repair shops up here for repairing/install Windows without original CDs. The shop i worked at the time didn't get busted, but about 4 others on the same street did.
