Are all Xbox's pretty loud when loading?

if you are sitting right next to it, yes it's a bit loud but muffled. From farther away you can't even hear it.

Reason asking is I have one to sell. Bought it from my friends' son. Í guess i'm used to PS2's with no hard drive.
