xbox (orig) + hd cables

I have a 2405fpw and have been wanting to play my modded xbox on it. I bought the xbox HD cables and hooked it up via the component video jacks...

however, the screen still looks like i'm using RCA connection.

any ideas?

You have to go through the Dashboard settings (not sure where) and set it to output 720p\1080i then you'll be golden.

i would assume thats because of the resolution of what signal its putting out.

Yup.
I can see the option in my mind.

Have no idea were it is though (never used it)
However, I know it can output 720p because in XBMC (Xbox Media Center) on my modded xbox thats an option in the settings for output, so I assume it would also be in the standard dash as well?

Keep in mind that only a handful of games are actually HD (720p or 1080i). Go to http://hdgames.net/ for a list that will show what resolution each game supports.
