Xbox One: Plex

I right now use Plex on my Roku 3 for playing my movies that are in mkv format, but transcoding needs to be done by my PC, so that they will play on my Roku 3, but then I'm losing AV quality this way and I notice in dark scenes macroblocking, even when I set Plex to transcode video at 20 mb/s, on a 33 mb/s video bitrate movie. I'm using wireless network that can reach up to 24 from that location, but I also tried POE and still have issues with playing movies at their original bitrate in Plex on my Roku 3, so I'm wondering if Roku 3 does not have enough video processing horsepower for bitrates over 20 mb/s even when Plex now shows an original bitrate option in the settings. Does the Xbox One's Plex app have issues playing movie at over 20 mbps? Does the Xbox One's Plex app decode DTS-HD, True-HD Dolby Digital, LPCM, or will my PC still have to transcode the audio? I'm just wondering if I should purchase Plex Pass for Xbox One?

xbox one can handle native MKV's. you should be able to direct play to it and not have to transcode at all.

You'd get infinitely better answers on the Plex forums. I'd bet this has been covered ad nauseum over there.
