The same thing is brought up over and over again. And no alternative is ever offered, you're okay with that?

These conversations are pointless, why I don't even understand why you keep trying to incite them.

We can't change the hardware choices, alternatives mentioned get shot down because "LOL too costly" or " ROFLCOPTER too much power." So why bother?

There were alternatives, you can't deny that, but you will dismiss them because "MSFT/Sony wanted to make more money."

And on and on the circle of pointless banter goes. So why, honestly asking you, do you keep trying to bring it back? The same opinions exist because the hardware is set in stone. So when someone rehashes the subject the same opinions will be shared. You know these opinions by now, just step out of the thread if you don't like them. As an admitted non-console gamer, why is this subject even a concern to you? Because of AMD?

Like what? Where? All I see is "weak cores" but no actual suggestion of what the hardware should have been.

You want me to tell me which threads I can post in? What? And you just said you are a non console gamer, so why is this thread interesting to you. Did you see the thread title?

For someone who works so hard to dismiss opinions, you sure don't remember much. Just go back to the Hexus thread. If you can't find a single alternative offered - grats the blinders you wear are Legendary status.

EDIT Ninja!

I mentioned a thread, hop to! As for the bold:
Read much, friend? I own an Xbone, a PS4, a Vita, a 3DS, a DS, a well at this point if GAMING as a whole let alone specifically CONSOLE or more specifically NON-PC isn't clear enough to you.

For the record, it was you who said (paraphrapse) "I don't own a console, I have no interest in a console and would most likely never buy one". Not I. I'm already $900 into this next gen because like a fan of the hobby, I bought my consoles day one. And sure, I'm disappointed, but then again my fiancee also disappoints me at times, don't mean I'd want to live with out her ;)

Nice personal attack. Now that you've got that out of your system how about you link me to said posts because I honestly must have missed them.

The messaging at the XBox One launch was a total disaster. They spent most of their time talking about how it integrated with your television, and lets you watch lots of sport. (Good humorous take on it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOxdMQhDMIU ) They started up their own TV studio!

But things have turned around most of the leadership behind the TV push is gone (http://www.theverge.com/2014/12/29/7463949/xbox-executives-leaving-microsoft-tv-apps-dead) and they seem to have actually realised why people buy games consoles- to play games. ;)
Lmao! That video made my morning. :D Thanks

interesting to note that you only buy a console for its specs.

Funnily enough even despite it's old gen hardware the Wii still gets more playtime than any other console in the house, including by me. Hardware alone doesn't make the console, how they try and sell it matters too.

If you played both consoles I highly doubt you'd notice the difference.

You're splitting hairs between a weak GPU, and a weaker GPU. Both are still weak....
If you really care about GPU performance you'd buy a PC.

I do game mostly on a PC but both Microsoft and Sony targeted 1080p with this gen and both missed (mostly), one by more than the other. Enabling a developer to sometimes possilby use the 7th core won't help them achieve that goal.

They did not. They could have easily targeted 1080P, but did not. It's not a matter of hardware. To target 1080P, they must, as part of having a license for making/releasing a game, require support for 1080P, but drop down to 720P if the display only supports that. That's it. Not only is that it, that's the only way to target 1080P. Every other way allows game devs to not use 1080P, which they will do, and then make BS apologies for. MS and Sony both know this well. However, their own owned dev companies want to be able to do that apologizing, so...
