Do you really think the business decision to develop and release the Xbox One and PS4 is solely because of the graphics on the 360 and PS3???

it just happened to play games...

everything they touted said it would rule the living room, as a media player it kicks some serious ass. as a gaming console... sub par at best.

Stepping back from things a bit, I actually think you nailed it.

Maybe the One's detractors (myself included) are arguing a straw man in that we're disappointed it hasn't achieved goals it never set out to achieve; the One's supportors are legitimizing our straw man by attempting to claim it has.
