Xbox one controller vs Xbox 360 controller

Hey guys , Which of the above controiller i get for PC? And which one feels more confortable in hands?
And is xbox one wireless and can be connected via receiver?

I would vote for the One controller.

Go to a store and try them out for yourself. Other members' opinions on which feels better won't matter at all. What you think of them matters. Unless you're not able to do that, I still vote for the One controller. For the better d-pad alone, it's going to be worth it pretty much every time.

The Xbox One controller has to be wired to the PC.

I'm going to use your topic for a question I have, since the Xbox controller support is kind of a generic, not specifically made for the one controller, does it support the "force feedback" thing the one controller have on its triggers? it would be great to use it on racing games, and some racing games are very flexible with settings, but does the driver even expose this functionality? or does it work on Xbox one ports like dead rising and ryse?

i don't know. the dpad on the only Xbox One controller i tried was terrible (unless it was fake); it felt like it clicked or was super-stiff; not any better than the Xbox 360's which isn't Super NES or Sega Genesis 6 button arcade pad kind of good either.

PC gaming was so much better for the 2005; it would've been nice had microsoft cut off 6 ms latency and make a really good D-pad. i might get a really good 1khz polling rate keyboard; it will compliment my 500 hz mouse.

I vote for the One, having used both on PC. One currently doesn't support wireless on PC but it is supposedly coming soon. Neither does the 360 though - officially anyway. You can't buy the official microsoft wireless dongles anymore for PC. Lots of unofficial ones on ebay and such though.

The One feels better in hand. the trigger buttons are significantly improved and the whole thing feels smoother in hand, more comfortable. Thumbsticks received some tweaking as well that I am a huge fan of.

Go with the 360 controller because it's more comfortable to hold and you can use it wirelessly. The xbone controller is nice, but the d-pad sucks and it only works if you use the usb cord.

Do you use a wireless receiver to get these controllers to work, or just hook up using the mini USB cable? Also do all games recognize PS4/Xbone controller and map keys properly like the Xbox360 controller, or do you get some weird button mapping?

Yeah I suppose I did sort of mis-speak there. It does officially support wireless. I forgot that you can still buy the packages together as well. I haven't been able to find just an official microsoft solo wireless receiver though without a controller. Correct me if I'm wrong here. Clearly that doesn't mean it isn't still supported though. My bad.

PS4 controller. Its better than both of those.

Yeah, no thanks.

PS2/PS3/PS4 controllers are junk. If you have large hands, you get 'claw hands' after not much use. The XB360/XB1 are much better in my opinion.

This is definitely a matter of opinion, as different controllers fit different people differently. For me though, I cannot stand any Playstation controllers.

i'd go with the xbox one controller in case you decide to pick up the console later. That said I have two 360 controllers I'm very happy with. It's also nice how most games that support controller will have presets for the 360 controller.

No sir i dont have any receiver will probably get it with controller.

yeah, having to use third-party software to support your controller is way better than native support. i don't know why i wasted my money on my plug-and-play instantly-supported-for-everything 360 controller.

I regret getting a 360 controller. Half of what I use it for are old console games and the D-pad might as well not even be on the controller.
