You should be able to do that with a wireless ethernet bridge, as MercenaryForHire said, but I'm not sure if an Xbox can access shared files on a network.

Sure. But using wireless might lower your ping, thus opening you up to lag. It might be a small dent, but it's still a dent.
As far as I know that's only partially possible under XBox Linux. FTP transfers are conveninent enough.Originally posted by: dude8604

Microsoft even sells a Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge specifically for the XBox. I'm not recommending it, I'm just pointing out that the XBox is perfectly capable of operating on a wireless network.
Reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally? 'cause I'm running EvoX with XBMC; I've just assumed it was FTPs all the way.Originally posted by: MercenaryForHire
XBMC has Samba sharing built into it, IIRC.

Of course it'd help if I knew what the hell Samba was, and how to get sharing with it working on my 2k system.![]()
If you happen across a link to a step-by-step way to do it, send it my way.Originally posted by: MercenaryForHire
If I recall correctly, XBMC does. And Samba = opensource implementation of the Microsoft/Windows SMB filesharing. I'm sure there's some account steps to take, like creating a user for your Xbox so that it has permissions, but I've seen it done.
