Just picked up one of these Monster Cables tonigth for $19.99.. regular price of $44.99 just last weekend.. so this could be a nice little upgrade for those still using the OEM video cable.. YMMV so check to see if your local CC has em..
here is the linky from C.C

It is a hot deal if you're looking for it.

I would just say save $20 and don't buy it, you won't see any improvement.

These cables are worth the money if you appreciate good sound and video, the image is brighter and sharper

Have you compared the Monster S-Video cable with another S-Video cable to verify it's the cable itself and not the connection that makes a difference?

the component out box (and AV out box for that matter) cost that much, and it includes fiber optic output and stuff.

I can't speak on this exact cable. But, when I bought my Xbox I bought the Monster Xbox cable, it was 40 bucks. I noticed a very big difference, this was on a decent 36" TV. It was worth every penny. Monster makes some good products 🙂

you will notice a marked difference when upgrading from the xbox's included composite cables to s-video (or even better, component video) cables. however, i doubt that anyone could tell a difference between the microsoft branded s-video cables and the monster cables. theoretically the monster cables may have better shielding, but i think most people in most situations would not be able to see any practical difference in picture quality between the different brands.

I got the component video Monster cable for the xbox and I couldn't believe the huge difference over the standard cable. I would agree that on a decent TV, an S-Video or component video cable upgrade is very worth it.

Thanks for that incredibly in-depth, informative post. You've just stated something that the vast majority of the people here probably knew already, and provided nothing to those who didn't.
