xbox modders: Can someone explain with trainers are for?

How are they different from the saved games? A few of my friends are getting together so I thought it would be cool to get all the cars unlocked on burnout3 ... can this be done through trainers or do I just copy over the saved game from the web?

trainers are something that makes the game do something

such as cheats

So it I just want cars or players unlocked I can just download the saves games from people? Any caveats?

Saved games are not technically trainers. Trainers are something that go into a game and modify the code (or file or setting) on the fly to help you out.

How old are you? I am surprised you don't know what trainers are from PC games. Also, console devices such as the Game Genies are technically trainers, also. Except they are hardware trainers.
