xbox live question

can someone confirm for me that if i buy an xbox live v.1 kit today i will have access to the newest software?

and is there any compelling reason not to buy a cheap v.1 or v.2 vs an expensive v.3 kit?

xbl software is automatically updated as needed so it would download the new version as soon as you signed on.

The only other difference is the games included.

not exactly... if you boot up your Xbox and sign into Live and let it sit for ~5 minutes, it will automatically update itself.

You can always find multiplayer games where it's straight up racing instead of Kudos

Don't forget Top Spin. Very fun to play on Live. I've only had a couple of opportunities to do unfortunately.

MechAssault is an excellent online game... Especially with the CTF maps. 🙂

If it doesn't cost much more, then go for it.

I just got PGR2 and Top Spin in the mail yesterday, and i have to say, they're both fun as hell. I look forward to hopefully seeing some of the folks from AT on Live.
