Xbox Live problem???

I have a MN-700 wireless base station, and a MN-740 wireless adaptor hooked to my Xbox. My base sation does not see the adaptor?? Can someone please help me figure this out.
 
Your description doesn't help much. It should be fairly simple to plug in and configure. Make sure it's all the same SSID and such
