You hear that sound? It's the meter running on your Live subscription. Mine is about to run out for the last time because there is no way I will ever pay to play a console online again. My children will grow up without video games if need be. The cost of gaming has become obscene and I refuse to pay for a service that should be free. Hell they should be begging us to play on their online service.....wtf?

I'm letting my Live subscriptions (I have two currently) expire as well. I don't play online anymore and even if I did, I think basic online play should be free. More importantly, the fact that you need a Live subscription to use Netflix on the Xbox is ridiculous. I'm going to replace my Netflix Xbox with a Roku for not much more than the cost of a 1 yr plan.

Yay! Time for some productivity. I never had this happen to me with psn. WTF M$. Seems like all M$ servers are down
http://twitter.com/#search?q=Xbox live down

Funny, because I've had the PS3 for not even a year and I've seen it down twice. They weren't major several day long outages, but they still affected me and others. The last time I had an issue with Live was when MW2 was released. You can say WTF all you want, but it's still been down far less than PSN. Nobody hears about THOSE outages though, so if you weren't a part of it then for all you knew it never happened.

i would never ever let my xbl live expire. online is like 99% of my game play time on xbox360.

i have over 200 hours of play time on ssf4 and the game isn't even a year old, and all 200 hours of that are online. i'd say i've gotten my moneys worth.

on the other end of the spectrum, my ps3 playing time is mainly offline, since xbl is superior to psn in virtually every way, and ps3's strong points IMO are their single player exclusives.

Last outage I really remember for xbox is during MW2.

That doesn't mean there weren't others, just that is the only time I tried to log on and it wouldn't work right.

Not interested in the least. Everytime I get the 12 month I only end up playing online for like 2 or 3 months of the year. It's just a pointless waste of money when I can hop on my PS3 or PC and play any game for free online. So that means I will miss out on Gears and Halo, big F-in deal.

I went ahead and nabbed a year for $30 when they were doing the sale right when Reach came out. Haven't used it yet, but it was only $30 so, meh... I probably won't resubscribe.

I don't play online almost at all anymore, but if I do it is on the PS3. The 360 is just running out of exclusives I care about. Gears is the only one left, and that's just because the co-op is fun.
