I see Xbox Live Gold 12 month cards go on sale all the time, but by the time I find out its too late. Those of you who get them, how do you keep track? Do you just check fatwallet all the time? Any other techniques?

Also, if I bought a couple will they work for the Xbox one, or has Microsoft announced that their subscription model will change?
 
I generally check slickdeals a few times a day for all sorts of stuff. When the cards are at a good price they generally make the front page pretty quick. You can also set an alert to have the system e-mail you when a thread about a specific item / keyword is started.
 
They carry over to the One, so stock up if you find them cheap.
I got my last one for $27 from Best Buy. If I ever see them for $30-35 again, I'm buying 5.
